The Beholder is silent film that addresses Hollywood's conception of beauty by following the daily and exhausting rituals of an anorexic girl named Galatea. The Beholder was Roxanne Teti's first experimentation with the filmmaking. The short was used as a discussion tool at the Stanford Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital's rehab center for eating disorders.
